sent to us from the leesburg area of the hail. we did have hail, three- quarters of an inch, even an inch, and that's what pretty much dictated the severe thunderstorm warnings. you can see all the white around the dog. that's a pretty good patch of hail. three-quarters of an inch -- or not three-quarters of an inch of hail but the size of the hail was three-quarters of an inch. fairfax county, parts of montgomery county getting some very strong storms. you can see back to the north of us up into western sections of pennsylvania, northern central pennsylvania, all of us firing up ahead of a frontal system. i think the front will get close enough to us tonight that we still have to at least include a chance for some showers, even some thunderstorms, and that will go until about midnight or so. technically we are under a severe thunderstorm watch. that's everybody under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00 tonight. maybe canceled earlier, portions, but not yet. but right now no active severe thunderstorm warnings for us here surrounding d.c. so we'll keep a very close eye on it.

again and bring us additional rain and i'm talking about an additional one to three inches of rain later tonight and imbedded in that stretch of moisture. we could have some thunderstorms, which could rotate. first and foremost, we had a lot of flooding and the flash flood warning has just been expanded. it now goes until 10:45 and this is for most of our area, but it does not include the district of columbia, prince georges county or charles. that is because you haven't had as much rain as everyone else, but we'll let you know if you get added to that. in addition to the flash flood warning, which, by the way, means flooding is occurring in many of the areas, we have a tornado watch. earlier today, there were some spinning thunderstorms. we have no reports of touchdowns but the tornado watch goes until 7:00. that is not for the whole area, though, but it includes prince georges county, ann arundel, calvert, charles and saint maries and points to the south and east from there. the reason that you're included in that is because there is a front right along there and we believe that the be
